A Doll House

A Doll House

Marriage, family, sex, money... and Nora, one of theater’s greatest female characters, are the focus of Henrik Ibsen’s drama “A Doll House.”

Set at Christmas time, we find the Helmers at home, flirting with each other and getting ready to delight their children with Christmas presents. An old friend of Nora's shows up and subsequent scenes reveal that Nora has a big secret that she has kept from her husband at great cost to herself. How this secret plays out, and the eternal questions the plot raises along the way makes for an enthralling night of theater.

This project is funded in part by the Organizational Development Grant Program using funds provided by the City of Santa Barbara in partnership with the Santa Barbara County Arts Commission and the Santa Barbara Office of Arts and Culture.
